Аннотация:
Agrogenic degradation of soils in Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe was investigated. Paleocryogenic
microtopography of microlows and microhighs in this area predetermined the formation of paragenetic soil
series and variegated soil cover. Specific paleogeographic conditions, thin humus horizons and soil profiles,
and long-term agricultural use of the land resulted in the formation of soils unstable to degradation processes
and subjected to active wind and water erosion. Intensive mechanical soil disturbances during tillage and
long-term incorporation of the underlying Late Pleistocene (Sartan) calcareous silty and clay loams into the
upper soil horizons during tillage adversely affected the soil properties. We determined the contents of total
and labile humus and easily decomposable organic matter and evaluated the degree of soil exhaustion. It was
concluded that in the case of ignorance of the norms of land use and soil conservation practices, intense soil
degradation would continue leading to complete destruction of the soil cover within large areas.
