The Yenisei Cossacks in Mongolia During the Civil War Period

Abstract

Th is article examines the Yenisei Cossacks’ participation in the Civil War in Siberia and Mongolia during 1920-1921. The reasons for their mass emigration to Mongolia in the beginning of ‘20s and their participation in Baron R. Ungern-Sternberg’s unit are considered for the first time. The military operations performed with their support in Mongolia and the Uriankhayskiy region are also described.

Исследовано участие Енисейских казаков в Гражданской войне в Сибири и Монголии в период 1920-1921 годов. впервые рассматриваются причины их массовой эмиграции в Монголию вначале 1920-х годов и участия в отряде барона Р. Ф. Унгерн-Штернберга. Так же описываются военные операции с их участием в Монголии и Урянхайском крае.
