Аннотация:
A numerical model of the cylindrical ingot melting process in an alternating magneticfield has been developed by coupling ANSYS and Fluent. The melting process was cal culated using the “enthalpy-porosity” method and a turbulent flow k-ω SST unsteady model. Electromagnetic sources of motion and heat are defined by the method of har monic problem finite elements on the magnetic vector potential in the “inductor-ingot” system at each iteration of the hydrodynamic problem. Based on the developed model, physical processes at the non-crucible melting of a titanium alloy (BT6) were calculated and analyzed.
