Abstract:
The article consists of two parts. The first part gives a brief overview of the existing historical architecture and Irkutsk downtown state of development. The second part carries out the blocks of built-up area morphology analysis, and topological analysis of the streets network changes during 290 years of its evolution. The aim is to identify patterns that can be used as the basis for land use and the building activity rules to the Irkutsk downtown.
