Abstract | Interaction between the residual gaseous oxygen and germanium melt is analyzed. There is a quantitative relationship between oxygen concentration in a growing germanium single crystal, oxygen partial pressure in an inert gas, and water vapor pressure in hydrogen. The suggested theoretical interpretation of the interaction between oxygen and germanium melt is experimentally validated. | |
